- Do not use the breast pump while driving, as this may cause an accident due to reduced attention.
- Make sure that children and pets do not play with the motor unit, packaging materials or accessories.
- Be careful when using the silicone tube, carrying loop and USB cable to prevent strangulation.
- This breast pump is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge. Such persons may only use this breast pump under supervision or if they have received proper instructions regarding the use of the appliance from a person responsible for their safety.

A warning to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases:
- If you are a mother infected with hepatitis B or C or HIV, expressing milk will not reduce or eliminate the risk of passing the virus to your baby through your breast milk.

Warning to prevent electric shock:
- If a power adapter is used for charging (not supplied), only use a certified USB power adapter with double insulation. Check that the adapter has the double insulation symbol: . For the breast pump
milk, use a power source (adapter or power bank) with a USB port with a direct current of 5 V /2 A or 10 W.
- When using a USB power adapter (not included) to charge or operate the breast pump: Before charging, check that the adapter shows no signs of damage. Do not use the adapter if it is
damaged or if its outer casing becomes loose or detached. Separation of the cover may cause electric shock.
- Before each use or if it has been dropped, check the breast pump for signs of damage. Do not use the breast pump if it is damaged or not working properly or has been immersed in water.
- Always ensure that the device can be easily disconnected from the mains supply in the event of a fault.

Warnings to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene:
- For hygienic reasons, the breast pump is designed for repeated use by only one person.
- Before first use and after each subsequent use, clean and disinfect all parts that come into contact with the breasts and breast milk. If you use nipple attachments or breast pads of different sizes when pumping, be sure to clean and disinfect all of these parts.
- Store and transport the collection container in the breast shield cover.

Warnings to help prevent breast and nipple problems and pain:
- Do not use the breast pump if the diaphragm shows signs of damage or is broken. For information on how to obtain spare parts, see "Ordering accessories and spare parts".
- Use only accessories and parts recommended by Philips Avent.
- Modifications to the pump are not permitted. If you make adjustments, the warranty will be void.
- Do not use the breast pump if you are drowsy or very tired, so that you can pay enough attention to its use.
- If the vacuum is uncomfortable or painful, turn off the motor and remove the collection container from your breast.
- If you are unable to express any or only a small amount of milk, or if you have painful, hot, swollen or red breasts, contact your doctor or lactation consultant.

Warnings to prevent damage and malfunction of the suction unit:
- Do not use portable radio frequency (RF) communications equipment (including mobile phones and peripherals such as antenna cables and external antennas) within 30 cm of any part of the breast pump (including the external power supply). This could negatively affect the performance of the breast pump.
- Do not use this device near or stacked on another device, as this could cause improper operation.

Notice
Warnings to prevent damage and failure of the breast pump:
- Ensure that the USB power adapter (not supplied), USB cable and motor do not come into contact with water.
- Keep all components away from hot surfaces to prevent overheating and deformation.
Warning: Do not use antibacterial or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the breast pump, as they may cause damage.
Caution: Never immerse the motor in water or place it in the dishwasher, as this will cause irreparable damage.
Caution: Be careful when removing and cleaning the valve. If it is damaged, the breast pump will not function properly. Clean the valve by gently rubbing it between your fingers in warm water with a little washing-up liquid. Do not insert objects into the valve, as this may damage it.
Caution: During sterilisation by boiling, do not allow the individual parts to touch the inside or bottom of the pot. Irreversible deformation of the product or damage may occur, for which Philips cannot be held responsible.
Warning: If you have disinfected the pump parts by boiling, be careful, they can be very hot. To avoid burns, start assembling the pump only when the disinfected parts have cooled down.
Warning: Before touching the pump parts and breasts, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to prevent contamination. If possible, do not touch the inside of the container.
Warning: Always switch off the breast pump first to release the vacuum before removing the collection container from your breast.
Warning: If you are unable to express any milk, do not continue pumping for more than five minutes at a time. Try sucking at a different time of day.
Warning: If pumping becomes very uncomfortable or painful, stop using the breast pump and consult your doctor.
Caution: The vacuum level created by the device is sensitive to the surrounding atmospheric pressure. At higher altitudes, the vacuum created is less intense.
Warning: Put the expressed breast milk in the refrigerator or freezer immediately and keep it at a temperature of 16–29 °C for a maximum of 4 hours before feeding it to the baby. Never refreeze breast milk that has already been thawed. This would reduce its quality. Never add to frozen
breast milk fresh milk, as this will reduce the quality of the milk and cause unwanted thawing of the frozen milk.
