- In the first phase of fever, a basic physiological effect may occur
called vasoconstriction (narrowing of blood vessels), which results in
the effect of cold skin - chills. The recorded temperature when using
a thermometer may therefore be unusually low.
- If the measurement results do not correspond to the patient's condition or are
unusually low, repeat the measurement after 15 minutes or double-check
result using another body temperature measurement method.
- This device contains sensitive components and must be
handled with care. Observe the storage and operating conditions
described in the section «Technical specifications»!
- Ensure that children do not use the device without supervision; some
parts are so small that they may be swallowed.
- Do not use the device near strong electromagnetic
fields, e.g. near mobile phones or radio equipment.
Use the device at a distance of at least 3.3 m from the source of
magnetic radiation.
- Protect the device from:
- extreme temperatures
- bumping and dropping to the ground
- Contamination and dust
- direct sunlight
- heat and cold
- If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
