Magellan is based in the German city of Bamberg and was founded in 2014 as a non-corporate publisher of children's and young adult literature. Most of their books are printed on FSC® paper, they use vegetable oil-based inks, solvent-free adhesives, water-based varnishes, and also avoid plastic packaging to reduce waste. In addition, they support good animal welfare around the world and, among other things, plant trees in local forests. The Magellan team consists of twenty employees who create innovative products with great design and magnificent stories for young readers – the future of our planet!
