The NaturalWave™ teat has been specially designed to allow baby to mimic the same tongue movements she uses when breastfeeding. Extensive research has shown that infant sucking is very different from adult sucking and involves three key steps. These are the initial nipple capture, the peristaltic movement of the tongue (your baby's tongue moves in a wave-like motion) and swallowing. It is very important for the child to be able to perform peristaltic tongue movement as it promotes natural oral and jaw development.

RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that you exclusively breastfeed for 6-8 weeks before introducing the bottle so that the baby develops proper sucking habits.
