The manufacturer will not be liable for damage caused by improper, incorrect or irresponsible use - This appliance is intended for indoor use only; do not expose it to sun, rain or other atmospheric conditions - This appliance should not be used by children or persons with impaired mental abilities or who do not have the required experience or knowledge. Do not use the bowl for food storage - Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children - Ensure that children do not play with the appliance - Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance when disconnecting the appliance from the mains. - Caution: for safety reasons, the appliance must always be connected to a mains supply with an effective earth connection. - Before heating or steaming, make sure that the steam outlet (6) is not blocked. - Never remove the lid (13) of the container (10) while cooking or mixing. Boiling liquids could leak 22 suddenly cause scalding and/or burns - Hot steam is released from the pan during heating and steaming, which could cause burns. The water tank and all parts in contact with the steam are very hot: always take maximum care when using and handling this product - Do not open or attempt to open the water tank lid (14) when the appliance is switched on and/or in use, there is a risk of burns. - Always switch off the appliance and wait at least 10 minutes before opening/removing the water tank cap (14) - Always unplug the appliance when not in use, during product assembly/disassembly and during cleaning. - Before moving, cleaning, storing or servicing, always check that the power cord is unplugged from the mains socket and that the appliance is completely cold - Always unplug the plug from the socket before touching the blades (11) - WARNING: Do not handle the blades (11) for more than 10 seconds and wait at least 10 seconds between one operation and the next. - Always use caution when handling the knives (8 and 11) as they are very sharp. - WARNING: Do not insert the knives (11) into the 23 dishwasher as its humid environment combined with cleaning salts may cause rusting. - Do not immerse or soak the body of the steamer (1) or the power cord with water or other liquids. Never place the base under running water - These instructions are available at www.chicco.com - When cleaning the product, follow exactly the instructions in Section VII. "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" - If the power cord is damaged, contact Artsana SpA only for replacement to avoid any risks. WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury and damage to the appliance. The manufacturer is not liable for damage/injuries caused by failure to follow these instructions. The appliance, accessories and packaging are not toys and must be kept out of the reach of children. Caution: using any electrical appliance requires awareness of some basic rules. Specifically: - The electrical system in which the appliance is used must comply with all applicable safety regulations; - The voltage and frequency (see rating plate located under the appliance) must match the mains voltage; - Never use with wet or damp hands, bare or wet feet, or near streams of water. Warning: do not touch the appliance if it falls into water; unplug it immediately and do not use it again. Contact trained, qualified personnel or Artsana SpA - If defective and/or not working properly: switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains and contact trained, qualified personnel or Artsana SpA Customer Service Do not attempt to open or repair it. - The use of adapters, splitters and nd/or extensions is not recommended; if necessary, use only products that meet the applicable safety standards and do not exceed the power limit indicated on the adapter and/or extension - Always place the appliance on flat, stable surfaces at a safe distance from delicate appliances or materials that may be sensitive to heat, steam or moisture. Never place on or near hot surfaces, gas stoves or electric hobs - Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on 24 - Never cover the appliance when it is in use or when it is still hot - Before use, check that all components (especially the bowl and base) are correctly assembled and make sure the water tank lid is properly closed. - Make sure there are no hands, hair, clothing or cooking utensils in the container before using the appliance - Never fill the water tank with liquids other than potable tap water or substances other than those listed in Section VIII "WATER TANK MAINTENANCE" - If steam comes out of the sides of the water tank lid (14) or steam outlet tube (16) during the heating/cooking cycle, this indicates a malfunction in the steam circuit: DO NOT open or remove the water tank lid (14). Switch off the appliance immediately and allow it to cool down completely. Do not reuse and contact trained qualified personnel or Artsana SpA - Do not use the product if liquid is leaking from the body of the appliance. In this case, immediately switch off the appliance and disconnect it - At the end of the cooking cycle and when the appliance is still hot, remove the lid (13), taking care to avoid scalding from the hot steam. The handle of the cooking basket can be very hot - To avoid damage to the blades, it is not recommended to use this appliance to chop very hard foods such as frozen foods - If you have any doubts about the contents of this instruction manual, contact your dealer or Artsana SpA.
